Once signed up to this service it opens up a number of ways to earn, by far the easiest is to take a short (never really more than eight questions) survey. You can do this once a month a get 20msp per survey.
Other rewards include bonus points for renewing live gold accounts and taking out subscriptions to services such as Netflix. One of the cool things they offer is recognition of your gamerscore, there are three thresholds, 3000 - 9999 Contender, 10000 - 24999 Champion and 25000 plus Legend. When you have an active gold account theses bonuses give you a special birthday present and rebates on what you spend in the marketplace (1% for champion and 2% for legend) per month.
You can also take part in punchcard offers, these work along the lines of buy x amount of games and receive x ms points.
It can sometimes take a while for points to be credited, and you never to accumulate 100 before they are added to your account, and we are only talking about small amounts at a time but considering that it is free and easy to do it would be pointless to miss out. Those ten points may just grab you that indie game you wanted.
